Chandigarh, September 2:- The Women and Child Development Department of the Haryana Government has launched the 'Mahila Samarth Sansthan Puraskar' initiative to promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace culture for women in the state.
A government spokesperson informed that the main objective of this scheme is to make workplaces gender-sensitive, ensure strict compliance with the POSH Act (2013), increase women's participation in employment and leadership and strengthen childcare, flexible working style and grievance redressal system.
He informed that a total budget of Rs 23.75 lakh has been allocated for this state-level recognition and incentive scheme, under which a total of 25 awards will be given in 5 different categories. These 5 categories include Government Departments/Boards/Corporations/Commissions and Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies/Private Companies, Industrial Units, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Educational Institutions/Hospitals/Service Sector Establishments and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). A budget of Rs 4.75 lakh has been allocated for each category and 5 awards will be given in each category.
The government has invited online applications from interested and eligible institutions. The last date for application has been fixed as September 20, 2026.
The spokesperson clarified that online applications will be accepted only on the portal available through the official portal https://wcdhry.gov.in/. Applications sent through post, courier or offline medium will not be considered eligible and applications submitted in incomplete or wrong format will be rejected. The form, evaluation structure, eligibility criteria, guidelines and terms and conditions are available on the official website of the department.
