New Delhi:- The proceedings of the House have been adjourned till March 9 after the uproar in the Lok Sabha Budget Session. Earlier, the opposition members in the House created a ruckus and raised slogans demanding the resignation of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Due to this ruckus, the House was adjourned till 12 noon just five minutes after the commencement of the proceedings.
It is noteworthy that as soon as the proceedings of the House began, the Presiding Chairperson Sandhya Rai informed the House about the death of former MP Dr. Bhagwan Das Rathore and the members observed a moment of silence to pay tribute to the deceased former member.
After this, as soon as the Presiding Chairman started the Question Hour, members of the opposition parties including the Congress started raising slogans demanding the resignation of Union Minister Puri and came close to the Speaker's dais. Meanwhile, Congress MP Ujjwal Raman Singh asked his supplementary question, which was answered by Health Minister JP Nadda amidst the uproar. In view of the increasing uproar, the proceedings were earlier adjourned till 12 noon, but now the budget session has been adjourned till March 9.
