Chandigarh, May 31:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party are in league and both have the same ideology. The way the law and order situation was violated in the local elections (Nikai elections) held in Punjab has raised serious questions on the democratic system. He said that by conducting elections with ballot papers, the Punjab government has proved that it was afraid of its defeat in the democratic process.
Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini reached Kapurthala on Sunday, where he spoke to the media and said that the Punjab government had made big promises to the people, but failed to fulfill them. The people have now understood that just making announcements and showing vegetables does not lead to development.
The Chief Minister said that the Aam Aadmi Party government should tell the public how many of the promises made during the elections were finally fulfilled. He alleged that in the name of development works, not enough work was done in the state and the law and order situation has continuously deteriorated. Gangsterism has been given a boost in Punjab, which has increased the feeling of insecurity among the common citizens.
He said that the ‘War on Drugs’ campaign launched by the Punjab government against drugs has also failed to yield the desired results. Instead of taking concrete action to save the youth from drugs and eliminate the problem of drugs, more attention was paid to propaganda. The government should have made serious efforts in this direction, but the desired results were not seen at the ground level.

Haryana’s double engine government gave impetus to public welfare schemes
The Chief Minister said that the double engine government in Haryana has worked to provide facilities to the people through public welfare schemes. By linking the Central Government's Ayushman Bharat Yojana with the State Government's Chiru Yojana, lakhs of families in the state have been provided with the benefit of better health facilities. The government has taken effective steps towards providing free treatment to the poor and needy people.
He said that the people of Punjab are now expressing faith in the leadership and development-oriented policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will work to nurture the lotus in Punjab in the coming times. The people want the politics of development, good governance and accountability and will no longer be satisfied with mere promises.
