Kapurthala:- Kanwar Iqbal Singh, an international Punjabi poet who has been serving the party for about 13 years as a primary member of Aam Aadmi Party Kapurthala, presented his strong claim as a candidate from Kapurthala constituency on the occasion of Assembly elections! It is worth mentioning that Kanwar Iqbal Singh, who has been associated with the Aam Aadmi Party since 2013, worked day and night to strengthen the party in Kapurthala constituency!
During the Lok Sabha elections held in 2014, he fully supported Aam Aadmi Party candidate Bhai Baldeep Singh from Khadoor Sahib constituency,
In 2015, the party high command appointed him as a member of the five-member cultural committee of Punjab! In elections held from time to time in Gujarat, Delhi, Haryana and other states, he was appointed as an observer by Arvind Kejriwal ji and sent to different states as a star campaigner! 
Even during the by-elections held in Punjab, Iqbal ji worked day and night with full hard work in various constituencies! Under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, in the (Punjab State Council for Science and Technology Department Punjab) which runs all the major educational institutions like schools, colleges, technical universities and Science City etc. of Punjab, where ministers of the state have been taken as members, Kanwar Iqbal Singh ji is also a member of the State Cabinet Committee of Punjab State Council! 
Eminent businessman Kanwar Iqbal ji has also been honoured by the party by making him District In-charge of Trade Wing and giving him the District Chairmanship of Traders Commission! Iqbal ji, who is known as a world famous poet in the field of literature, is invited by the Delhi Government every 26th January and 15th August to present poetry at the Red Fort in Delhi among 24 Punjabi poets of India! Iqbal ji, who has left his mark of capability and clean image in the country and abroad, is considered to be a stronger claimant than all the claimants of "AAP" in Kapurthala constituency!
