Karnal, January 16: Indri MLA and Government Chief Whip Ram Kumar Kashyap and Mayor Renu Bala Gupta jointly inaugurated the work of replacing the existing old and damaged water pipeline and beautifying the pond in Kailash village of Ward 1 on Friday. The two projects will cost approximately Rs. 1.55 crore. Ward Councilor Sudesh Rani and Councilor representative Subhash Coach were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion of the inauguration, MLA Ram Kumar Kashyap said that replacing the water pipeline will ensure an adequate supply of clean drinking water to the villagers. On the other hand, the beautification of the pond in the village will enhance the beauty of the village and provide facilities to the residents. He said that basic amenities are being continuously provided to the citizens. Whether it is a city or a village, projects worth crores of rupees are underway, providing better facilities to the citizens.
On this occasion, Mayor Renu Bala Gupta, while giving information about the development works, said that the existing old and damaged drinking water pipeline in Kailash village will be replaced. This work will cost approximately Rs. 1 crore 24 lakh 46 thousand. This work will be completed in 1 year. In addition, the pond in the village will be beautified. This work will cost approximately Rs. 30 lakh 58 thousand. This work will be completed in 2 months.
Congratulating the villagers on the inauguration of the development works, she said that the beautification of the pond will promote cleanliness, drainage system and greenery in the village. In addition, replacing the drinking water pipeline will ensure the supply of clean drinking water. She said that these two projects fulfill the demands of the villagers.
She said that to ensure that every work is done in a transparent manner, a board is displayed at the project site, on which details related to the work are recorded. He appealed to the citizens, urging them to keep an eye on the work to ensure it is done properly. If they notice any shortcomings, they should report them to the concerned engineers and councilors so that the issues can be rectified promptly.
