Garhshankar, February 22:- Doaba Sahitya Sabha (Regd.) Garhshankar and Darpan Sahitya Sabha Saila Khurd organized an event at the library located in Gandhi Park on the occasion of International Mother Language Day and the flourishing of the mother language and to awaken the Punjab government on the occasion of the People's Awareness Campaign of the Central Punjabi Writers' Sabha (Sekhon) Registered.
This event was organized under the leadership of General Secretary of Central Punjabi Writers' Sabha (Sekhon) Prof. Sandhu Varyanvi, District President Jaswinder Jassi, President of Doaba Sahitya Sabha (Regd.) Garhshankar Dr. Bikkar Singh and General Secretary of Darpan Sahitya Sabha Saila Khurd Sohan Singh Suni with the support of local public organizations.
The event was attended by teacher leaders Mukesh Gujarati, Sukhdev Singh Dancewal, Vinay Kumar from Democratic Teachers Front Punjab, Pawan Kumar Goyal and Ashwani Rana from Government Teachers Union, Principal Dalwara Ram from Jeevan Jagriti Manch (Regd) Garhshankar, Darshan Singh Mattu from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Charitable Trust Garhshankar, Balwant Ram from Punjab Pensioner Welfare Association Garhshankar, Democratic Pensioner Front leaders BPEO Balvir Khanpuri, Satpal Singh Kaler and Madam Subhash Mattu from Janavadi Istri Sabha Punjab along with their colleagues.
During the event, various speakers demanded from the government that in addition to making Punjabi language the language of employment, vacant posts of teachers in educational institutions of Punjab should be filled immediately and administrative work should be made mandatory in Punjabi language. On this occasion, lyricist Amrik Hamraj, numberdar Joga Singh Bhamian, Jasvir Begampuri, Satpal Singh, writers Sham Sunder Kapoor, Ranjit Poshi and Ajay Garhdiwala from Darpan Sahit Sabha Saila Khurd were present.
During the event, teacher leader Madam Inderjit Kaur, Balkar Singh Maghania, Manoj Phagwarvi, Pankaj Kumar, Gurpreet Singh, Gurmukh Singh, Vinay Kumar, lecturer Raj Kumar, Gurdev Singh, Jasvir Singh, Hardeep Bassi and Kulwinder Sangha etc. were present. Finally, Pawan Bhamian, General Secretary Doaba Sahit Sabha (Regd) Garhshankar thanked the participants.
