Hoshiarpur:- Former BJP National Vice President, former MP, and former BJP State President Avinash Rai Khanna, along with BJP Dasuya Assembly Constituency In-charge Raghunath Rana, specially attended a religious ceremony at the Maa Kamakshi Darbar, Kamahi Devi, nestled in the foothills of the Shivalik mountain range. On this occasion, Tapomurti Mahant Raj Giri Ji Maharaj felicitated Avinash Rai Khanna.
Addressing the gathering, Khanna stated that Sanatan Dharma and our immortal culture came into existence at the very dawn of creation, when the first sunrise spread its light across the earth. He explained that 'Sanatan' means that which is eternal, truthful, and indestructible. He remarked that within our culture, sages and seers established ideals and guiding principles for humanity in the Vedas, Shastras, Puranas, Upanishads, and the Bhagavad Gita, which will continue to hoist the victory flag of our culture as long as this creation exists.
Avinash Rai Khanna further mentioned that life initially evolved on the banks of the Narmada River in the southern Indian peninsula, making it the oldest river in the world. The most ancient dinosaur eggs and fossils globally have been discovered here. He noted that Sanskrit is the oldest language in the world and the mother of all Indian languages. The literal meaning of 'Sanskrit' is a 'perfect language.' Before Sanskrit, the world was divided into minor, fragmented dialects that lacked grammar and lexicons. The practice of writing languages in scripts originated in India.
The other scripts across the globe were born from the Brahmi and Devanagari scripts. Brahmi is an ancient script considered even older than the Devanagari script. The people of the Harappan culture used this script, and the Sanskrit language was also written in it during that period. Jain mythological stories describe that the first Tirthankara, Rishabhdev, who brought civilization to humanity, had a daughter named Brahmi, who discovered this system of writing.
The civilization that settled along the banks of the Indus and Saraswati rivers in the ancient world was the most prosperous, civilized, and intelligent, with ample evidence supporting this fact. It originally stretched from present-day Afghanistan to India. Khanna stated that in ancient times, the Saraswati River was far more massive than the Indus River. The world's first religious text was composed while sitting on the banks of the Saraswati River. According to archaeologists, this civilization emerged around 9000 BCE, witnessed its golden age by 3000 BCE, and faded away around 1800 BCE due to a terrible natural calamity. While the Saraswati River vanished on one hand, the people of this region migrated toward the west on the other.
