Hisar:– In view of the Panchayat by-election to be held on June 15, Superintendent of Police Hansi Amit Yashvardhan and Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) Hansi Rajesh Koth visited village Kanwari of Hansi sub-division today with the aim of maintaining law and order and ensuring fair, peaceful elections. During this, he inspected the polling stations, major intersections and sensitive places and reviewed the security arrangements.
Superintendent of Police Hansi directed the local police officers to continue patrolling, keep a close watch on anti-social elements and take immediate action in case of any kind of disturbance. He also said that no one will be allowed to interfere in the election process and the district police is fully prepared to conduct fair and peaceful elections.
While talking to the villagers, Superintendent of Police Hansi appealed to them to vote with peace, harmony and brotherhood and avoid any rumor or inflammatory statements. He said that every voter will be given the opportunity to exercise his franchise without fear.
Superintendent of Police Hansi said that some anti-social elements may try to spread rumors or create communal tension through social media. In such a situation, a special team has been formed at the cyber cell and concerned police station level, which is constantly monitoring the social media platforms.
Apart from this, he appealed to the general public to avoid sharing any misleading or provocative post and immediately inform the police about suspicious posts. Strict action will be taken against those who spread rumors under the IT Act and other relevant sections.
On this occasion, DSP Siddharth, police station in-charge, BDPO Ashok and the concerned police force were also present.
