Hoshiarpur- Today was a historic day for Hoshiarpur city, when MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa dedicated the heritage T-55 war tank used by the Indian Army in the 1971 Indo-Pak war to the city residents. This tank has now been permanently installed in Green View Park, which will inspire the coming generations with the country's military saga.
MLA Jimpa said on the occasion that this is a proud moment for Hoshiarpur, when for the first time a war trophy has been brought to our city. It not only reminds us of the bravery of the Indian Army, but is also a means of connecting the youth with our glorious history.
He said that the district administration, Indian Army, retired military officers of Hoshiarpur and Sonalika Group have contributed significantly in making this historic initiative a reality. MLA Jimpa said that with the joint efforts of all, this tank has been brought from Pune, which will now become a symbol of the city's honor and will instill a sense of patriotism in every citizen.
The MLA said that the installation of the tank in Green View Park will add a new dimension to the city's identity. Describing it as a source of inspiration for the youth, he said that this tank is a symbol of the bravery of every soldier who sacrificed his life for the protection of the country.
Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is constantly striving to promote the spirit of patriotism among the youth and preserve the historical heritage.
