Chandigarh, December 24:- Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah, while praising the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini during the "Sahakar Sal Samriddhi" program organized in Panchkula, said that Haryana has become a model of farmer welfare, transparent governance and fast decision-making in the country today.
Shri Amit Shah said that Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini has achieved what very few governments dare to do. When the election manifesto proposed to purchase 24 crops at minimum support price, he called him at night to confirm the announcement. Chief Minister Shri Saini confidently said, "You announce; the responsibility of procurement is mine." The Union Cooperation Minister said that today Haryana is the first state in the country to ensure procurement of 24 crops at minimum support price.
The Union Home Minister said that the Haryana government has not only achieved procurement but also achieved a new administrative revolution by making payments in the bank accounts of farmers within 48 hours. He further said that Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini has also ensured the highest price in the country for sugarcane farmers, which has put positive pressure on governments across the country.
Shri Amit Shah particularly praised the water management and irrigation schemes of the Haryana government, saying that 85 percent subsidy under the "Per Drop - More Crop" scheme, providing irrigation water to areas deprived for decades, and construction of 2088 Amrit Sarovar (water tanks), all these reflect visionary thinking.
He said that despite being a small state in the country, Haryana has consistently made significant contributions in agriculture, dairy production, sports and national security. Today, under the leadership of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, this tradition has become even stronger.
The Union Home and Cooperation Minister said that Haryana has made significant contributions in industry, GST and Income Tax, but the real identity of any government is the happiness of its farmers. He clearly said, "Naib Singh Saini has given a reason to smile to the farmers of Haryana, and this is his biggest achievement."
Shri Amit Shah expressed confidence that, following the mantra of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of "Prosperity through Cooperation", Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini will further strengthen Haryana's position among the leading states of the country.
