Mahilpur, November 6 - A special lecture was organized on the subject of Diaspora Hindi Literature by the Post Graduate Hindi Department of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur in the area. On this occasion, Diaspora Hindi writer Tejinder Sharma MBE (London) participated as the chief speaker. College Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh shared the welcome words.
He inspired the students to learn more and more in the field of literature, art and culture. The chief speaker Tejinder Sharma presented his views on the increasing promotion of Hindi language and literature abroad. He said that Diaspora Hindi writers have a sense of attachment for their homeland in their writings, but now Hindi literature is also presenting global issues.
He also presented his views on the work done by Hindi cinema in the promotion of Hindi language and told about the history of Hindi art cinema and commercial cinema. Head of Hindi Department, Lieutenant Dr. Deepak shared the words of thanks and gave information about the departmental activities. Mr. Tejinder Sharma was honored by the administrators.
On this occasion, Dr. Parminder Kaur, Prof. Nancy, Dr. Vikrant Rana, Dr. Aarti Sharma, Dr. J.B. Sekhon, Prof. Rohit Puri along with the students of the college were present.
