Hoshiarpur:- The shocking situation of dropout rate of children in government schools during the tenure of Aam Aadmi Party government has put the government's performance in the dock. The Aam Aadmi Party had done a lot of publicity to get votes in Punjab by calling Kejriwal's Delhi model of education ideal. In Punjab also, in the name of School of Eminence etc., the buildings of schools were painted and a drama of giving good education was staged.
Many gimmicks were seen in the name of education revolution in Punjab but according to a reputed magazine report, in the last few years, a decline of more than 6 lakh children's names has been seen. Without getting anything done in government schools, AAP leaders laid many foundation stones there but the government could not fill the huge shortage of teachers in schools which is more than 50%.
He said that the main reason for the decline in the number of children in government schools is the low-level functioning compared to private schools. Which is a matter of great concern. For poor families, children have to be sent to private schools to give them good level education, which is extremely worrying.
