Chandigarh, July 2:- Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that Haryana will play a leading role in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Developed India-2047'. Addressing a program organized in Gurugram, he said that since the formation of Haryana in the year 1966, every government has contributed to the development of the state at its own level, but in the last 11 years, a remarkable change has been seen in the pace of development and work culture. He said that today Haryana has made its strong identity among the leading states of the country and the government's goal is to further accelerate this pace of development. On this occasion, Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma were also present. The Chief Minister said that the Haryana government is moving forward by connecting the youth, farmers, women, the poor and every section of the society with the mainstream of development. He said that in the past years, the double engine government has strengthened the trust of the people by establishing a transparent and people-friendly governance system in the state. This trust will form the basis for taking Haryana to new dimensions of economic, social and industrial development.
Investors' trust in Haryana is increasing with transparent policies and better facilities - Chief Minister
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that the Haryana government is working on a partnership-based policy to promote industries. He said that for the first time in the state, a tradition of extensive discussions with stakeholders from various sectors, including the industry, has been started before budget preparation, so that their needs and suggestions can be included in the policies. According to this thinking, the best practices of various states of the country and abroad were studied before preparing the new industrial policy. After this, several rounds of meetings were held with the industry organizations and their suggestions were incorporated in the policy, which made Haryana's industrial policy more effective and in line with the expectations of investors.
The Chief Minister said that the government has set a target of investing Rs 5 lakh crore in the state through the new industrial policy and the fact that investment proposals worth Rs 1.10 lakh crore were received on the very day of the policy's launch is a testament to the growing confidence of the industry in this direction. He said that for the convenience of investors, the single window system has been made even simpler and more effective, so that the necessary approvals can be made available within 14 to 15 days. Along with this, the process of developing 10 new IMTs has been started in the state, work on many of which is going on at a fast pace. He said that during the recent visit to Japan, Haryana also received investment proposals worth thousands of crores of rupees. The government's aim is to make Haryana the most preferred industrial investment hub of the country by providing world-class infrastructure facilities to investors.
Employment will increase with the new industrial policy
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that under the new industrial policy of Haryana, more incentive amount is being given to the industries providing employment to the youth of Haryana compared to earlier, earlier this amount was 48 thousand, which has now been increased to one lakh, while this amount has been fixed at 1 lakh 25 thousand for providing employment opportunities to the disabled person. Which will increase employment opportunities at the local level.
Youth will get skill training as per the needs of the industries, startups and MSMEs are getting special incentives
The Chief Minister said that the government has established coordination between ITI and industries, so that the youth get the same training that the industries need. With this, the youth of the state will get employment at the local level and trained human resources will be easily available to the industries. The Chief Minister said that the government is also promoting micro, small and medium industries as well as startup culture. The budget has made special provisions to encourage research and innovation, so that new ideas of the youth can take the form of industry and new opportunities for self-employment are created.
Government's focus on making Gurugram a world-class city
The Chief Minister said that basic facilities like roads, metro, RRTS, water drainage and drinking water are being expanded rapidly in Gurugram. Keeping in mind the needs of the coming years, work is being done on long-term plans, so that Gurugram can be developed as a world-class modern city. The Chief Minister said that in view of the rainy season this year, cleaning of drains, recharging systems and other necessary works are already being completed to deal with the problem of waterlogging. The aim is that the common people should face minimum inconvenience during the rains and the city's transportation system should remain smooth.
Gurugram is preparing a drinking water plan keeping in mind the needs of 50 years, strong policies are the basis of development
The Chief Minister said that work is underway on a long-term project to meet the future drinking water needs of Gurugram. After its completion, there will be no drinking water crisis in the city for about 50 years to come. The Chief Minister said that the progress of any state depends on its policies. In the past years, due to the people-friendly policies of the Central and Haryana governments, the infrastructure in the state has expanded, investment has increased and people's trust in the government has strengthened.
Emphasis on crop diversification to increase farmers' income
The Chief Minister said that the government is motivating farmers towards horticulture and other profitable crops along with traditional crops. Also, continuous efforts are being made to increase farmers' income through crop procurement at MSP, natural farming, stubble management and processing units.
