Chandigarh, September 15:- The Haryana Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation has provided financial assistance of Rs 176.50 lakh to 59 beneficiaries under various schemes during the current financial year up to August 2026, including a subsidy of Rs 138.75 lakh.
Giving detailed information in this regard, a spokesperson of the Corporation said that loans are provided to people belonging to Scheduled Castes under various categories so that they can establish their own businesses and self-employment. These categories include agriculture and allied sectors, industrial sector, trade and business sector and self-employment sector. Financial assistance is also being provided to them under schemes implemented with the assistance of the National Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation.
He said that under the trade and business sector, an amount of Rs 53 lakh was provided to 58 beneficiaries, out of which Rs 26.60 lakh was released as bank loans, Rs 20.25 lakh as subsidy and Rs 6.15 lakh as margin money.
The spokesperson said that with the assistance of the National Scheduled Finance and Development Corporation, Rs 11 lakh was released to one beneficiary under the small business category during this period. Of this, the direct loan component of the National Scheduled Finance and Development Corporation and Safai Karamchari Finance Development Corporation was Rs 3.96 lakh. In addition, a subsidy of Rs 109.50 lakh was also distributed.
