Chandigarh, July 30:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini has said that Haryana has become the powerhouse of sports in the country. The population of our state is only 2 percent of the total population of the country, but whenever it comes to Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games or Commonwealth Games, the maximum number of players from Haryana win medals and bring honor to the country and the state. Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini was addressing the Sports Fitness and Infrastructure Expo organized at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Thursday. During this, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya attended as the chief guest.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that this event is not just an exhibition but a fair of ideas and dreams, where the potential of youth power is being realized. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a new direction and a new identity to sports in the country. Fit India, Khelo India Today's sports are not just about competition but have become a campaign for nation building. Fitness is not just a personal habit but has become a necessity for a developed India today. He said that I am proud that in this program, not only the story of Haryana's medals will be seen, but the sports model of Haryana itself will also be seen by the people. Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that the culture of sports is visible in Haryana and their vision is also visible, which has made this small land the biggest sports power of India. Haryana's share in the country's population is 2%, but when the medals are calculated, Haryana stands at the forefront. This passion in the players comes from our soil. Here, a child does not play in the lap but learns to fight on the playground. Struggle is his strength, which takes him from the streets of the village to the world stage.
Cash award up to Rs 6 crore to medal winners Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the Haryana government is giving cash awards up to Rs 6 crore to gold medal winners in Olympic, Asian and Commonwealth Games. In the last 12 years, Rs 730 crore has been transferred directly to the accounts of 17,182 players. Arrangements have been made to provide scholarships of Rs 1,500 per month to players in the age group of 8 to 14 and Rs 2,000 per month to players in the age group of 15 to 19.
The Haryana government has given direct government jobs to 260 best players in Group A, B and C categories. About Rs 1,100 crore has been spent on sports infrastructure in the last 12 years. About 2,000 sports nurseries and 25 sports academies are operating across the state, where a daily diet allowance of Rs 500 per player is being given. North India's first ultra-modern scientific training and rehabilitation center has been established in Panchkula at a cost of Rs. 10 crore.

**Zero tolerance against drugs
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that he himself runs in a marathon with the youth every month. Recently, about one lakh youth participated with him in the marathon organized in Yamunanagar. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the government is working with full seriousness to save the youth from drugs and no element trying to spread drugs among the youth will be spared.

**Prime Minister gave a target from Jind rally
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's dream of a developed India will be realized only when the youth of the country is healthy, fit and full of self-confidence. He said that in the Jind rally, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given Haryana the target of preparing the new generation for the upcoming Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games. This is a manifestation of Haryana's potential and the unwavering faith of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

**The Chief Minister boosted the morale of the players by reciting poetry
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that "Do not be afraid of defeat and do not be afraid of victory. Every day, make yourself better than yesterday. Hard work is a small part of medals, but a real player is one whose goal is India."
