Chandigarh, October 19 - The Hon'ble Governor of Haryana, Mr. Asim Kumar Ghosh, greeted and extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of Haryana and the countrymen on the first evening of Diwali.

Hon'ble Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh further said that as the nation celebrates the victory of light over darkness and good over evil, let us strive even harder to take India towards a future based on brotherhood, inclusiveness and compassion.
The Hon'ble Governor expressed the hope that this festival will inspire all the citizens to strengthen the bond of unity and brotherhood and make a meaningful contribution to the progress and prosperity of the state and the nation. He appealed to all to celebrate the festival in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
