Chandigarh, August 24:– With the objective of giving fresh momentum to investment opportunities in Haryana and further strengthening the state as one of the country’s leading industrial and investment hubs, Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini held a roundtable conference with prominent investors, global investment firms and representatives of the industry in Mumbai on Monday under the ongoing ‘Happening Haryana 2.0’ Global Capital Campaign. Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh was also present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini said that the industry plays an important role in accelerating the country’s economic growth and realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. He said that the Haryana Government aims to make the state a reliable, responsive and investor-friendly destination where investors get better business opportunities along with confidence and a positive experience while working with the government.

Concrete and Time-Bound Action to Be Taken on Investors’ Suggestions
The Chief Minister said that during the meeting, investors shared several important and practical suggestions based on their experiences. The government will work with the concerned departments to convert all these suggestions into a time-bound action plan. He said that wherever necessary, clear departmental ownership would be ensured for implementing the suggestions. The government will also undertake necessary reforms to simplify matters related to land, approvals and other procedures.
The Chief Minister told investors that if their portfolio companies are looking for opportunities in Haryana for expansion, manufacturing, GCC technology and logistics, the Haryana Government is ready to continue discussions with them and provide every possible facilitation. He said that the Haryana Government wants to establish long-term partnerships with the industry, rather than focusing only on investment.

Policy for Defence Sector to Be Introduced Soon
Investments and opportunities in the defence sector were discussed extensively during the meeting. The Chief Minister said that investors had shown the greatest interest and provided maximum suggestions regarding the defence sector. Considering the potential of this sector, the government is considering introducing a dedicated policy for the defence sector soon.
He said that possibilities for cluster-based development at different locations are being explored to promote defence manufacturing and related industries in Haryana. In the previous budget, the establishment of 10 new IMTs in Haryana was announced, and work related to land acquisition is progressing in this direction.
The Chief Minister said that a manufacturing cluster is being developed near Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar. Possibilities of developing a defence cluster in the same region will also be explored. In addition, work is progressing on a plan to develop another industrial cluster in the Haryana region near Jewar Airport.

Skilled Manpower to Be Prepared According to Industry Requirements
The Chief Minister said that merely providing land and facilities to industries is not enough; making skilled human resources available according to their requirements is also a priority of the government. The Haryana Government has taken steps to connect ITIs and polytechnic institutions with industries and provide training to youth according to industry requirements through MoUs.
This will provide industries with the skilled manpower they require and create new employment opportunities for young people.

Global Investors Summit to Be Held in Haryana in April 2027
The Chief Minister invited investors and their leadership teams to participate in the Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit to be held in Haryana in April 2027. He expressed confidence that the meeting held in Mumbai would mark the beginning of a strong and long-term partnership between Haryana and the investor community.

‘Developed Haryana’ to Play an Important Role in the Vision of ‘Developed India’
The Chief Minister said that Haryana is playing an important role in realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. The government is working to create an investment ecosystem in the state where simplified policies, faster approvals, better infrastructure, skilled manpower and effective investor facilitation are available together.

Investors Praise Industry-Friendly Policies, Ease of Doing Business, Plug-and-Play Model and Investment Incentives
MDs, founders and CEOs of major companies and investment firms including EQT, Warburg Pincus, Davidson Kempner Investment Advisers India, Premji Invest, Waterfield Advisors, 360 ONE (Alternates), Samara Capital, IvyCap Ventures, Oman India Joint Investment Fund, BlackSoil, The Investment Trust of India – Growth Opportunities Fund, Global South Capital, Atomic Capital, Aquilone Capital, Jashvik Capital, Unicorn VC, BPEL India and Gaza Capital, among others, participated in the roundtable conference and shared their suggestions.
Investors and industrialists strongly appreciated the industry-friendly policies formulated by the Haryana Government to promote investment and industrial development in the state. They praised Haryana’s Ease of Doing Business, investment incentives, industrial infrastructure and plug-and-play model, stating that these facilities are aligned with the requirements of industries and help save both time and costs in establishing new industrial units.
While offering their suggestions, investors expressed confidence that due to Haryana Government’s progressive policies and facilities available to industries, the state is likely to witness large-scale new investments and generate significant employment opportunities in the coming years.
