Chandigarh, August 25:- Like every year, the Haryana government has decided to give a special gift to the women of the state on the holy festival of Raksha Bandhan this year also. Under this decision, all women have been provided with the facility of free travel in ordinary buses of Haryana State Transport on the occasion of the holy festival of Raksha Bandhan.
Giving this information, a government spokesperson said that this free travel facility will start from 12 noon on August 27 and will remain in effect till 12 midnight on August 28. During the journey, women and their children up to 15 years of age will also be able to take advantage of free travel in ordinary buses of Haryana Roadways. The free travel facility will be valid for travelling from one place to another in the state of Haryana, which also includes journeys to Delhi and Chandigarh.
The spokesperson said that instructions have been given to the concerned officers and all the district managers at the state level to ensure that the passengers do not face any kind of difficulty during Raksha Bandhan. Therefore, apart from the smooth operation of buses, instructions have also been given to ensure the availability of required buses and necessary arrangements for the convenience of passengers in time.
Transport personnel will be deployed at bus stands for guidance
He said that the District General Manager will deploy transport personnel in uniform at every bus stand so that they can properly guide the women to their destination. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to deploy sufficient number of police staff at bus stands in view of the safety of women.
Giving greetings to the women of the state on the holy festival of Raksha Bandhan, the Chief Minister said that this is a festival of love and trust between siblings. With this initiative of the government, women and their children will get better facilities to travel to and from the festival to celebrate with their family members.
