Chandigarh, March 20:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the Nayak community has been a symbol of hard work, honesty and social harmony for centuries. This community has maintained its identity and culture in every difficult situation.
The Chief Minister was addressing the Jayanti celebrations of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ladhunath Ji Maharaj organized under the Sant Mahapurush Samman and Vichar Prasar Yojana at Sant Kabir Kutir in Chandigarh on Friday.
During this, the Chief Minister also paid homage to Sant Shiromani Shri Ladhunath Maharaj Ji by offering flowers to the statue. During this, Public Health Engineering and Public Works Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa was also present with him. On reaching the program, the Chief Minister was honored by the enlightened people of the Nayak community by donning a turban and presenting him with a cultural symbol.
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, while congratulating the people present on the occasion of Navratri and the birth anniversary of Sant Ladhunath Maharaj Ji, said that Shri Ladhunath Maharaj Ji's birth anniversary is a celebration of our cultural values, spiritual heritage and social unity. His life is a source of inspiration for all of us. He was such a pillar of light, who showed the society the path of truth, service and dedication. He considered service to humanity as his religion throughout his life.
The Chief Minister said that Sant Ladhunath Maharaj Ji made tireless efforts to remove the evils, discrimination and ignorance prevalent in the society. He believed that service to humanity is the service of the true God. He was against killing of life, he also gave the message to the people not to kill life. The Chief Minister said that Sant Ladhunath Maharaj Ji took Samadhi at the age of 47 in Mussoorie village of Bikaner district. He is still alive in the consciousness of the society. The fair held in his memory every year in this village is a symbol of the devotion towards him among the people. This fair is the third largest fair in Rajasthan.
Glorious history of Nayak community
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that Nayak community has a great glorious history. The history of this community is full of bravery, sacrifice and struggle. They actively participated in the struggles against the British in the freedom struggle.
The stories of bravery of Bhima Nayak, the tribal warrior of Nimar, Budhu Bhagat, the leader of the Kol rebellion and Narsa Nayak, the warrior of the Vijayanagar Empire in South India, are popular today as folk tales. Evidence of the active contribution of Nayak community is found in many revolutionary events of Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Hansi in Haryana. Nayak Samaj is commendable that they are working to spread the words of Sant Ladhunath Maharaj Ji to the masses.
The government's goal is to achieve the ultimate goal - Chief Minister
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi included many backward castes in the Scheduled Caste list, due to which this section of the society is taking advantage of the facilities and moving forward on the path of progress. The goal of the double engine government is to achieve the ultimate goal. That is, the last one left behind is to advance him, no matter what area, class and sect he belongs to. The government's effort is that the entire community, people of all castes move forward, everyone is uplifted, everyone gets equal rights in the society. Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas is the focal point of the state government's policies.
Sant Ladhunath showed the true path
The Chief Minister said that saints, great men, sages, prophets and gurus like Sant Ladhunath Ji have shown the true path of life to the lost humanity. The heritage of human society is based on the teachings of such great personalities. It is the responsibility of all of us to preserve and cherish their legacy.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people present to take a pledge that we will follow the path of service, dedication and brotherhood and make our state Haryana the leading state of the country.
The Chief Minister said that the government has constituted the Haryana State Scheduled Caste Commission for the welfare and protection of the rights of the Scheduled Castes. Apart from this, 20 percent reservation has been provided to the Scheduled Castes in the first and second class posts. He said that to fulfill the dream of the poor having a roof over their heads, 1 lakh 56 thousand houses have been given under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Also, plots have been given to more than 27 thousand poor families in cities and villages under the Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana. Ownership rights have been given to the people occupying houses up to 500 square yards built on panchayat land in villages.
Referring to the schemes run by the government, the Chief Minister said that under the Ambedkar Housing Renewal Scheme, Rs 80 thousand are being given to the people of Scheduled Castes, Exempted Castes and Taprivas Castes living below the poverty line for house renovation. So far, an amount of Rs 416 crore has been given to 76 thousand 985 beneficiaries under this scheme.
He said that disease does not come by seeing wealth and poverty. Therefore, the present government has made such an arrangement that no poor person is deprived of treatment due to lack of money. Under the Ayushman Bharat-Chirayu Yojana, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is provided. So far, 27 lakh people have received treatment under this scheme. The Chief Minister said that the present BJP government in the state and at the Centre are committed to the welfare of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes.
Mentioning the schemes in this regard, the Chief Minister said that many incentives are also being given to the children of Scheduled Castes for their education. A one-time cash incentive scheme has been started for the meritorious students of Scheduled Castes who have secured 90 percent or more marks in class 12th. Under this, a cash incentive of Rs 1 lakh 11 thousand per student is given to the meritorious student. Under this scheme, an incentive amount of Rs 6 crore 33 lakh has been given to 570 students. He said that under the cash award and monthly scholarship scheme, an incentive amount of Rs 95 crore 76 lakh was given to 2 lakh 56 thousand 968 students of Scheduled Castes studying in classes 9th to 12th. Under the monthly scholarship scheme, 58,817 BPL students studying in classes 9 to 12 have been given an incentive of Rs 9 crore 99 lakh.
The Chief Minister said that free bicycles have been made available by the government at a cost of Rs 3 crore to 9,090 Scheduled Caste students studying in classes 9 to 11 in government schools. At the same time, an amount of Rs 10 crore 80 lakh was given as reimbursement of board examination fees to 1,01,069 Scheduled Caste students. Similarly, an incentive of Rs 44 crore 18 lakh was given to 4,02,062 Scheduled Caste students studying in classes 1 to 8 under the lump sum scheme.
He said that under the Chief Minister's Marriage Shagun Scheme, a shagun amount of up to Rs 71,000 was given for the marriage of 2 lakh 60 thousand girls from poor families of Scheduled Castes.
