Chandigarh, November 29 - Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation has launched two Atal Shramik Kisan Canteens located in Sector-4 and Sector-5 in IMT Manesar. With the inauguration of these canteens, an important step has been taken towards further strengthening the facilities for the welfare of workers in the area.
A total of five locations have been identified by HSIIDC in IMT Manesar under the Atal Shramik Kisan Canteen Scheme. The construction work of the remaining three canteens is in progress, which will be started in the coming weeks. After this, maximum workers of the industrial sector will be able to get the benefit of these facilities.
These canteens are being constructed with the help of CSR from the industry and leading industrial organizations, which shows the strong commitment of the industries towards the welfare of the workers and social upliftment.
The canteens will be run by self-help groups. This will not only ensure the high-quality management of the canteens, but will also create new employment opportunities for local women and community members.
Under the Atal Shramik Canteen Scheme of the Haryana Government, a plate of good and pure food worth just Rs. 10 will be provided to the workers, which will increase the accessibility of good food in the industrial sector.
