Garhshankar, July 29:- The garbage heap near Jalandhar/Amritsar bus stand located on Banga Road in Garhshankar has become a serious problem for passers-by and passengers. Due to this, an atmosphere of stench and dirt has been created in the area, due to which people are facing huge problems.
These views were expressed by Satish Kumar Soni, founder president of Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society Punjab, during a press conference. He said that during the rainy season, the passers-by and passengers waiting for the bus have to face a lot of trouble due to the stench and dirt emanating from the garbage heap.
He said that the stench and dirt spreading from the garbage can invite a serious disease or epidemic. Passengers standing at the bus stand have to cover their nose and mouth. The situation gets worse during rainy days, which increases the problems of the people many times over.
Satish Kumar Soni said that keeping in mind the health and safety of the common people, this garbage dump should be removed from here immediately. He appealed to the Municipal Council Garhshankar and the administration to remove this garbage dump near Banga Road Bus Stand as soon as possible and shift it to a suitable place outside the population, so that people can get relief from dirt and bad smell and the environment of the city also remains clean.
