Hoshiarpur:- A free cancer and eye check-up medical camp is being organized in the school playground of village Bhungarni of district Hoshiarpur on December 25. Giving information in this regard, the founder of Mata Ram Kaur Virasat Kendra Bhungarni (Hoshiarpur): Dr. Amarjit Singh Balgir said that this medical camp is being organized in the school playground of the village on December 25 from 10 am to 4 pm under the leadership of World Cancer Care - UK based charitable society (Dr. Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal Global Ambassador).
In which free cancer and eye check-up medical camp is being organized by expert doctors in collaboration with M/s. Vardhman Group, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur, Punjab.
In this cancer awareness camp, free facilities for cancer screening and information, cancer awareness leaflets and speeches, sugar and BP check-up, medical check-up and consultation, mammography test for women's breasts, eye examination and 100 free spectacles, Pap-smear test for women's cervix, PSA test for men's prostate examination, blood cancer examination, mouth and throat examination, bone examination, general medicines, facilities will be provided to cancer patients. This camp is organized by Gurdwara Guru Har Rai Sahib, Bhungarni President Surjit Singh Masuta and the entire management committee, Gram Panchayat Village Bhungarni, Amar Kaur Charan Kaur Welfare Society Bhungarni, Jan Kalyan Society Bhungarni and prominent personalities of the area, NRIs from nearby villages. Dharam Singh Janjua, Jagtar Singh Bhungarni, Surjit Singh Masuta, Ratish Singh Saroya, Surinder Singh etc. were present on this occasion.
