Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, February 4:- Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairperson, District Red Cross Society, S.A.S. Nagar, Mrs. Komal Mittal, IAS, St. John Ambulance is organizing a First Aid Training Camp at the District Administrative Complex, S.A.S. Nagar, starting from January 28.
During this training camp, Indian Red Cross certified trainer Mr. Sandeep Singh provided detailed training to conductors, drivers, factory workers, and nanny students on saving valuable lives during accidents and emergency situations. During the training, the trainees were informed that first aid plays a very important role in saving the lives of the injured and reducing their suffering during accidents, and that every citizen should have basic knowledge of first aid.
The trainer provided practical training to the trainees on CPR, providing artificial respiration, handling unconsciousness, stopping bleeding, supporting fractured bones, and administering first aid in situations such as burns and snake bites. He explained that timely CPR given during a heart attack proves to be extremely helpful in saving lives. Along with this, the trainees were also given information about maintaining mental health along with physical health.
On this occasion, Secretary of the Red Cross Society, Mr. Harbans Singh, provided information to the trainees about the principles and history of the Red Cross. He also informed them about the initiatives being undertaken by the organization in the district for the welfare of the poor, patients, the needy, and persons with disabilities, and appealed to the maximum number of people to associate with the organization and serve humanity.
