Patiala 23 December:- Under the directions of Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Jaswinder Singh, an eye screening camp was organized by Vision Spring Foundation in collaboration with the Health Department in the corner of the OPD registration counter of Mata Kushallya Hospital Patiala for the last one month. In this, the eyes of about 15 thousand patients were checked and glasses were distributed to about 3000 people with low vision.
On this occasion, 20 students of Mata Kushallya Nursing School were given training in eye screening and after taking the training, eye screening of patients was done with the help of these students. The principal of Mata Kushallya School honored all these students by giving certificates.
On this occasion, Nodal Officer of National Blindness Control Program Dr. Divjot Singh, members of Vision Spring Foundation and tutors of the Nursing School were present. On this occasion, the members of the organization said that such pro-social initiatives will continue in the future as well.
