Santoshgarh/Una, January 25 (Naveen Mahe):- The 87th birth anniversary of the founder of Himotkarsh Parishad and great social worker, the late Kanwar Hari Singh, who dedicated his life to humanity, compassion, and selfless service, will be celebrated this year with a noble cause. With the inspiring message of "Donate Blood - Save Lives," a massive voluntary blood donation camp is being organized on February 1, 2026 (Sunday) at Tahliwal, under the joint auspices of Press Club Haroli and Haroli Block Industrial Association.
Giving details, the President of Press Club Haroli, Narayan Prabhakar, said that the blood donation camp will be held from 10 AM to 3 PM. Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri will be the chief guest at the event. The camp will be conducted by a team of expert doctors from BDC Blood Center, Nawanshahr (Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar), Punjab.
The life of the late Kanwar Hari Singh was dedicated to the last person in society. Service was not just a word for him, but a way of life, ingrained in every breath. It was through his visionary efforts that the district's first blood bank was established at the Regional Hospital Una in 1988 with the cooperation of the Rotary Club Una, which has given a new lease of life to not hundreds, but thousands of lives over time.
His contribution to spreading awareness about blood donation among the youth is unforgettable. The organizers said that this blood donation camp is not just an event, but a pledge to keep the thoughts and values ??of the late Kanwar Hari Singh alive. By donating blood on his birthday, every person can become a ray of hope in the life of an unknown needy person.
The Press Club Haroli and Haroli Block Industrial Association have appealed to the youth of the area, social organizations, industry representatives, and common citizens to participate in large numbers and make this humanitarian campaign a success. Dinesh Gautam, the chief patron of Press Club Haroli, said that although the late Kanwar Hari Singh Ji is no longer with us, the seeds of service, cooperation, and humanity that he sowed are still guiding society today.
