Santokhgarh/Una, July 24 (Rajveer Chopra): A dignified ceremony was organized by the Santokhgarh Municipal Council to honour the enumerators, supervisors, and concerned officials and staff members who successfully executed the census work. The event was presided over by Municipal Council President Anjana Chabba, while Vice President Sandeep Kumar was present as a special guest.
On this occasion, President Anjana Chabba congratulated all the enumerators and supervisors involved in the census work for their hard work, honesty, and responsible performance. She remarked that the census is not merely a headcount of the population but serves as a strong foundation for the development plans of the nation and the state. She noted that the government formulates schemes by assessing the needs of various sectors based on census data and effectively delivers the benefits of amenities to citizens.
She stated that during the census operations, the staff collected information by visiting households and, despite facing numerous challenges, discharged their duties with utmost sincerity, dedication, and responsibility. Their work ethic and commitment are commendable and a source of pride for the entire Municipal Council family.
The President stated that the objective of this ceremony was to honour and boost the morale of all enumerators, supervisors, officials, and staff members who made outstanding contributions to the census work. Expressing gratitude on behalf of the Municipal Council, she acknowledged that this significant task was successfully completed thanks to everyone's cooperation and dedication.
During the event, the enumerators and supervisors involved in the census work shared their experiences. They spoke about the challenges encountered during the door-to-door survey, the cooperation received from the public, and the lessons learned from the task. Expressing happiness at having been part of such an important national undertaking, they reiterated their resolve to continue working with the same dedication and sense of responsibility in the future.
At the ceremony, the enumerators and supervisors who had made outstanding contributions to the census work were honoured with mementos and certificates of appreciation. Ward No. 3 Councilor Charanjeet Kaur, Municipal Council Executive Officer Harsh Gupta, Sanitary Inspector Ashutosh Sharma, Jaswinder Singh, Baljit Singh, Harjinder Singh, Supervisors Ruchi and Mahak, and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
