cHoshiarpur: MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa met Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi today. He expressed his gratitude regarding the 'Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam' (An Evening Dedicated to Lord Shiva) event scheduled for August 12 and the program to flag off buses to various religious sites. Following the meeting, MLA Jimpa stated that the Punjab government would organize the 'Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam' event in Hoshiarpur on August 12, with Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal attending as devotees. On the same day, buses bound for Vrindavan, Mathura, Haridwar, Shri Salasar Balaji, and other major religious sites will be flagged off under the 'Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme' (Mukhyamantri Tirath Yatra Yojana), enabling devotees to undertake pilgrimages free of cost. Jimpa mentioned that he discussed preparations for the grand religious event with Arvind Kejriwal. He noted that the 'Ek Shaam Shiv Ke Naam' event is receiving great appreciation from the public. Jimpa remarked that the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme has become one of the government's most commendable initiatives, allowing devotees to visit holy sites with dignity and convenience. He added that the scheme has fulfilled the dreams of those who were previously unable to undertake pilgrimages due to financial constraints. He further stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has brought about sweeping changes in governance by prioritizing education, health, employment, women's welfare, and social security. He noted that the benefits of a transparent, corruption-free, and people-centric administration are reaching every section of society. Jimpa expressed confidence that the events of August 12 would prove memorable for Hoshiarpur and appealed to the public to participate in large numbers to make the religious event a success.
