Chandigarh, September 8:- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has said that our children, connected with their roots, are fulfilling the dream of Brahmaleen Swami Devendra Swaroop Brahmachari Ji by leading the world in modern science and technology. With modern technology in their hands, compassion in their hearts, a global vision, their feet are firmly rooted in the soil of India. By doing so, they have brought pride to their culture and mother tongue. The beautiful synthesis of modernity and Indian values seen in all educational institutions today is an expansion of this visionary thinking.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was speaking as the chief guest on Tuesday at a tribute ceremony organized on the 22nd death anniversary of Brahmaleen Devendra Swaroop Brahmachari at DBS International Public School in Ladwa. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini paid floral tributes at the statue of Devendra Swaroop Brahmachari. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Auditorium Hall. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini welcomed and honored the saint by presenting a shawl. In the program, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini honored Mahamandaleshwar Swami Hari Chetananand Maharaj and Professor Ramesh Kumar Pandey with awards.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that he bows to the penance, renunciation, meditation, and human welfare resolve of Brahmaleen Swami Devendra Swaroop Brahmachari. Some personalities are such that their lives are not bound by the limits of time. Even if they are not physically among us, their thoughts live on in the consciousness of society. Their words show the path, their works inspire, and their ideals shape the character of coming generations. He said that Brahmaleen Swami Devendra Swaroop Brahmachari Ji was one such divine and magnificent personality. His life was not for himself, but for society. His knowledge was not for display, but for public welfare, and his spiritual practice was not to turn his back on the world, but to alleviate the sufferings of the world.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that Brahmaleen Swami Devendra Swaroop Brahmachari deeply studied our scriptures. His greatness lay in bringing that knowledge into practice in life. He took the knowledge of the Vedas to schools, the Karma Yoga of the Gita to public service, and the values of Indian culture to the new generation. He said that it is stated in our scriptures 'Sa Vidya Ya Vimuktaye', meaning true education is that which frees a person from ignorance, fear, narrow-mindedness, and bondages. Swami Ji was a living symbol of this thought. He believed that education is not merely a means of gaining literacy or degrees. Education is the power that builds character by instilling confidence in a person, instills a sense of responsibility, and fosters dedication towards the nation. For him, schools were laboratories for individual-building and nation-building alongside studies. Swami Ji was a strong advocate of the Gurukul education system. He made visionary efforts to connect Gurukuls with modern education along with traditional learning.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that Swami Ji did not limit his thoughts to sermons alone. He considered religion and nation supreme. Not only this, he gave the shape of institutions to his concept of service. Under his guidance, numerous educational institutions, including two Sanskrit colleges, three Veda schools, a girls' college, and a school, are being established and operated.
Vidyapeeth advancing Vedic education, Sanskrit, religion, culture, and patriotism
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that Shri Jairam Vidyapeeth, established in Kurukshetra in 1977, has advanced Vedic education, Sanskrit, religion, culture, and patriotism. Thousands of students educated at this Vidyapeeth are serving in various sectors of society. Seth Navrangrai Lohia Jairam Girls College, established on 22 acres of land in Lohar Majra, has opened new doors for higher education for girls. He said it is very significant that at a time when girls' education was not prioritized in society, Swami Ji included women's education and empowerment among the primary goals of his life. He knew that when a boy is educated, an individual is educated, but when a daughter is educated, the future of two families and several generations is uplifted. Today, our daughters are bringing glory to India in education, science, administration, sports, and even space. The foundation of this transformation was laid long ago by visionary saints like Swami Ji.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that Swami Ji did not view religion merely as a mode of worship. For him, feeding the hungry was religion, providing treatment to the sick was religion, holding the hand of the helpless was religion, and lighting the lamp of knowledge in the darkness of ignorance was religion.
Swami Ji served refugees in Kurukshetra during partition of India
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that another inspiring aspect of Swami Ji's personality was his national consciousness. During the partition of India, he served refugees in Kurukshetra. During the invasions by China and Pakistan, he raised public awareness. He assisted flood victims in Haryana and earthquake victims in Uttarkashi. He said that his life was also an example of dedication towards environment and cow service (Gau-Sewa).
Children who respect parents and Guru always achieve progress: Brahmswaroop Brahmachari
Brahmswaroop Brahmachari Maharaj, manager of Shri Jairam Vidyapeeth, welcomed Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and other guests, stating that Swami Devendra Swaroop Brahmachari dreamt of creating good human beings, for which quality education is an important path. The institution is striving to provide education by establishing various types of centers. Through these institutions, they are fulfilling his dream via education, values, and culture. Children educated here will contribute to various sectors of the country. He said that the blessing of the Guru and the grace of parents are essential for children.
