Hoshiarpur:- Following the guidelines of the Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar and the orders of the District and Sessions Judge Rajinder Agarwal, the District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur is conducting an awareness campaign in various villages of district Hoshiarpur and sub-divisions by the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Neeraj Goyal.
Under this, awareness programs were organized in various villages and schools, such as Gram Panchayat Sahota, Gram Panchayat Ravidas Nagar Adamwal, Gram Panchayat Rahisiwal, Gram Panchayat Gaddiwal, Gram Panchayat Manjhpur, Gram Panchayat Mirpur and Oat Clinic Sham Churasi.
On this occasion, the panel advocates motivated the young generation to give up drugs and do good deeds so that a drug-free and healthy society can be created. During this, information was also given about NALSA (Drug Awareness and Wellness Navigation - for a Drug-Free India), Yojana 2025 and the impact of drugs on health, family and social life and the legal provisions of the NDPS Act.
While giving information about the legal rights related to the 'Child Marriage Free India' campaign, it was brought to the attention that the marriageable age of the girl should not be less than 18 years and the age of the boy should not be less than 21 years. Along with this, while telling about the environmental legal literacy and community safety initiative of 'NALSA', which was titled 'Protect Today, Protect Tomorrow', people were informed that stubble should not be burned in villages, nor should plastic be set on fire, because its smoke spreads pollution in the air, which causes many diseases.
Apart from this, information was given about the HIV AIDS campaign. Finally, promotional materials were distributed by para-legal volunteers working in the District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur.
