Hoshiarpur: The all-round development of the Chabbewal Assembly constituency is my priority, and with this goal in mind, development projects are being carried out in every village in the constituency. Dr. Ishank Kumar, MLA from Chabbewal constituency of the Aam Aadmi Party, stated this while distributing grants worth ?2.50 crore to the village panchayats in the constituency. This amount will be used to construct streetlights, dharamshalas, streets, panchayat houses, community halls, and sewerage systems.
MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar stated that grants of ?1 crore each have been issued to 27 villages in Hoshiarpur Block 2, falling within the Chabbewal constituency, and ?1.50 crore each to 43 villages in Block Mahilpur. On this occasion, the MLA appealed to the Panchayat members and Sarpanches to spend the grant money provided by the Punjab Government without any discrimination and to carry out quality development work that will be remembered for generations to come.
He said that just as the people of the constituency vote to elect MLAs, the people of the villages elect Panchayats. The MLA's job is to collect funds from the Punjab Government under various schemes and hand them over to their Panchayats, and the Panchayats' job is to use this money honestly and without any discrimination. He said that in this ongoing service, everyone has their own responsibilities. Therefore, everyone must fulfill their role honestly. Only then will we be able to take the constituency's development to new heights.
Dr. Ishank said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has opened the government treasury for Punjab's development, and grants will be provided for more projects in the future. A report is being prepared for other projects to be undertaken in the Chabbewal Assembly constituency, and the remaining projects will also be started soon, the MLA informed.
