Chandigarh, February 9:- The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has issued a notification asking all farmers and general consumers not to tamper with power lines, transformers and other electrical equipment themselves or try to fix them themselves. It is being seen that some farmers and consumers try to fix electrical faults themselves and then try to climb on electrical poles and transformers without taking any safety measures. Due to this, electrical accidents are increasing.
While giving this information, the spokesperson of the corporation said that all consumers should avoid fixing electrical equipment themselves and lodge their electricity related complaints through designated channels. Consumers can register their complaints through online channels like UHBVN mobile app, toll free number 1912, 1800-180-1550 and by visiting their nearest electricity office. The employees of the corporation are technically trained and receive special training for such work. The corporation has asked the general public to register complaints with the designated sources instead of taking risks on their own, so that accidents can be prevented and safe and uninterrupted power supply can be ensured.
