Nawanshahr, July 2:- It is a matter of pride for the Health Department of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar that the Punjab Government, in view of the unique and dedicated services being rendered in the field of health services, has honoured two capable senior government doctors of the district with the prestigious State Award.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, during the state-level State Award ceremony held on Thursday at Municipal Bhawan, Sector-35A, Chandigarh, honoured Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Harpreet Singh of the District Health Department, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, and Senior Medical Officer Dr. Satwinderpal Singh of the District Hospital, Nawanshahr, by presenting them with a memento and a letter of appreciation for their special contribution, high professional standards, and public-oriented performance in health services. 
This prestigious honour is a symbol of both doctors' continuous hard work, spirit of service, professional efficiency, and commitment towards people's health. With this achievement, not only has the prestige of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar's Health Department risen at the state level, but the entire medical community has also been inspired for excellent services.
On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurinderjit Singh, while heartily congratulating Dr. Harpreet Singh and Dr. Satwinderpal Singh, said that this honour is a government-level appreciation of their selfless service, dedication, and high professional competence. He said that the achievement of both doctors is inspirational for young doctors and health workers and will further strengthen the resolve to provide quality health services to the people. 
The Civil Surgeon said that this honour is not only for both doctors but also for the entire Health Department of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district, which will further boost the morale of the department's officers and employees.
