Hoshiarpur- Sahara Welfare Society celebrated Diwali this year with special children in a very special and creative way. An attractive stall of diyas and candles made by these children was set up at Government Senior Secondary School, Janauri, with the aim of encouraging creativity and self-reliance among the children.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh and Red Cross Society, Hoshiarpur presented school bags, utensils and ration kits to the children. In the program, English lecturer Renu Bala made a special contribution in decorating Diwali items, which further enhanced the beauty of the stall.
At the end of the program, President Renu Kanwar expressed special gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain and Red Cross Secretary Mangesh Sood, who supported this inspiring initiative. Sahara Welfare Society President Renu Kanwar, Ranjit Singh, Anju Bala, Shyam Kaur and Principal Ranjit Singh along with many dignitaries were present in the program.
