Una, March 2: The district-level meeting of the Scheduled Castes Department (SC Cell) of the Indian National Congress was successfully held in Una. District President Valram Mahen chaired the meeting. Chief Advisor of the department, Comrade Jagat Sharma, and officials from various blocks were also present.
During the meeting, all officials shared detailed information about the ongoing organizational activities in their respective areas. In-depth discussions focused on strengthening the organization at the booth level, expanding its reach across villages, and connecting more and more Scheduled Castes to the Congress party's policies and ideology.
In his address, District President Valram Mahen stated that the Congress's Scheduled Castes Department is committed to social justice, equal rights, and the protection of constitutional values. He emphasized that strengthening the organization is the need of the hour, and every worker must play an active role in this endeavor. He urged officials to conduct grassroots public relations campaigns to disseminate the party's policies to the public.
It was decided at the meeting that, as directed by National Coordinator Karmaveer Baudh, the goal is to form block executive committees in all five assembly constituencies of Una district by March 15th. A strategy was also developed to launch a special membership drive and organize awareness programs on various social issues in the coming days, so that the voices of the underprivileged sections of society can be effectively raised.
Present on this occasion were Block Kutlehar President Gurpal Kalsi, Block Una President Subhash Chand, Chintpurni President Jagdish Ram Mahasha, Block Haroli President Balbir Chand, and Media Incharge Dalveer Kaur, along with other officials.
The meeting concluded with a pledge to expand the organization to the village level with renewed energy, enthusiasm, and commitment. The workers expressed their confidence in uniting to strengthen the organization and advance the fight for social justice.
