Kharar (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), 17 February 2025:- Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner-cum-President, District Red Cross Branch, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Mrs. Komal Mittal, the District Red Cross Branch organized a General Medical Check-up Camp on 16 and 17 February at P.M. Shri Navodaya Vidyalaya, Rakoli, S.A.S. Nagar, in collaboration with the Civil Surgeon, Mohali. The camp was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner-cum-Honorary Secretary Dr. Ankita Kansal.
During the camp, a total of 455 students and teachers of P.M. Shri Navodaya Vidyalaya, Rakoli, S.A.S. Nagar were examined. General medical, dermatology, eye, dental, gynecology and other health check-ups were conducted.
On this occasion, Secretary Red Cross Mr. Harbans Singh informed that the District Red Cross Branch remains committed not only to assisting poor and needy persons but also to carrying out welfare activities for public benefit.
He further stated that this initiative was made possible under the directions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-President Mrs. Komal Mittal, Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Senior Vice President Mrs. Geetika Singh, and Assistant Commissioner-cum-Honorary Secretary Mrs. Ankita Kansal.
While interacting with the media, the Secretary Red Cross also shared that during the camp, general medical examinations were conducted for students and teachers, and free medicines were distributed.
The camp was organized with the support of the team of doctors from Civil Surgeon, S.A.S. Nagar, including Dr. Manuj Sharma, Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Dr. Vikas, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Dr. Rohina, along with supporting staff. The team of Red Cross, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, was also present on the occasion.
At the end, Mrs. Deepti Bhatnagar, Principal, along with the staff, expressed gratitude to everyone.
