Chandigarh, August 21:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini said that the Haryana Government is continuously working to provide better facilities to citizens in Gurugram and resolve their problems. The systems are improving with time, and positive changes are now being seen in areas where problems were earlier more prominent. He said that sometimes exceptionally heavy rainfall puts additional pressure on the arrangements and leads to situations such as waterlogging, but despite this, the benefits of the work undertaken in the past are now clearly visible.
The Chief Minister was chairing the meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee in Gurugram on Friday. Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Pataudi MLA Smt. Bimla Chaudhary, Sohna MLA Shri Tejpal Tanwar and Gurugram MLA Shri Mukesh Sharma were also present in the meeting. A total of 17 complaints were taken up in the meeting, out of which the Chief Minister resolved 14 on the spot, while directing that three cases be kept pending until the next meeting. He directed the concerned officials to present the status report of these pending cases in the next meeting.
**Immediate Land to be Made Available by Concerned Builder for 33 KV Sub-Station in Pioneer Industrial Park, Failing Which FIR to be Registered
Office-bearers of the Welfare Association of Pioneer Industrial Park, located on the Bilaspur-Tauru Road, stated that the builder was not making the designated land available for setting up a 33 KV sub-station in the industrial park, due to which the power supply to industrial units was being affected. Taking note of the complaint of the association, Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini directed the officials of the Power Department to immediately get the required land made available from the developer for construction of the proposed 33 KV sub-station. The Chief Minister clearly directed that if the builder/developer fails to cooperate in making the required land available for the sub-station, an FIR should be registered against him as per the rules and necessary legal action should be taken. He directed the officials not to show any negligence in the matter and to give priority to the construction of the 33 KV sub-station to ensure adequate, regular and uninterrupted power supply in the industrial area.
**Directions to Designate E-Rickshaw Stand and Remove Encroachments to Ease Traffic in Sadar Bazaar
In a complaint related to Sadar Bazaar, it was stated that the road from Post Office Chowk to the Bus Stand is not only the main entry route to Sadar Bazaar but also a very busy area. A large number of e-rickshaws, autos and other vehicles remain parked haphazardly on the road, while traffic is also affected due to passengers being picked up and dropped off in the middle of the road. According to the complaint, common citizens, traders and emergency vehicles face difficulties in movement.
Taking the complaint seriously, Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini said that facilitating traffic and providing better transportation facilities is a priority of the government. He directed the municipal officials to identify a designated stand for e-rickshaws and suitable locations for boarding and deboarding passengers so that vehicles do not remain parked on the main road and the traffic system remains smooth. He also directed that a regular anti-encroachment drive be conducted on the main entry route of Sadar Bazaar and that the road be kept free from illegal encroachments to ensure smooth movement of traffic.
**Directions to Register FIRs Against Colonizers Developing Unauthorized Colonies
Residents of the RWA of Krishna Colony, located at Jhunda Sarai Veeran, complained that the colony had been developed by colonizers in violation of the rules. The colonizers were allegedly selling land meant for roads and buyers were attempting to encroach upon it.
Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini took strict note of the complaint and directed the concerned officials to register FIRs, as per the rules, against the concerned colonizers who had developed the unauthorized colony in violation of regulations. He said that no negligence at any level would be tolerated in cases involving misleading the general public, illegal development and people’s hard-earned money.
The officials were also directed to ensure action as per the rules regarding unauthorized construction and the colony, while resolving the problems of the affected people on priority.
The Chief Minister said that the government’s endeavour is to continuously work towards permanent solutions to problems so that citizens can get relief from recurring difficulties. He said that the resolution of citizens’ complaints should not be limited to immediate relief; rather, the concerned departments should also take effective steps towards permanent solutions. He directed the officials to regularly review the complaints received in the meeting and the directions issued earlier, and ensure the resolution of pending cases on priority.
On the occasion, Gurugram Mayor Raj Rani Malhotra, Principal Advisor to the Urban Development Department D.S. Dhesi, GMDA CEO P.C. Meena, CP Shivas Kaviraj, Municipal Corporation Gurugram Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, DC Uttam Singh, HSVP Administrator Vaishali Singh, Manesar Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Singh, Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Rajiv Jaitley, Chief Minister’s OSD and Additional Director of the Information, Public Relations and Languages Department Vivek Kalia, along with other officials and employees, were present.
