Nawanshahr:- Under the directions received from the Honorable Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar and Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar, the Honorable District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Smt. Priya Sood and CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SBS Nagar Dr. Amandeep organized an awareness seminar on drug abuse at Rand Cross De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Center under the Youth Against Drugs Campaign.
On this occasion, the Youth Against Drugs team and paralegal volunteers Vasdev Pradesi, Des Raj Bali and Kashmir Singh made the patients present at the center aware about the ill effects of drugs and also took an oath to stay away from drugs.
Apart from this, the team informed that the main objective of the "Youth Against Drugs" campaign is to make the general public and the youth aware about staying away from drugs. They said that people need to make efforts at the village level to eradicate drugs.
