Nawanshahr:- As per the guidelines received from Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar, under the instructions of Honorable District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Smt. Priya Sood ji, under the leadership of Civil Judge (Senior Division)/ CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Dr. Amandeep ji, the office of District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar celebrated World AIDS Day at Sandhu Hospital, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and organized an awareness seminar on this occasion.
On this occasion, the para-legal volunteers of the office, Vasudev Pardesi and Mr. Des Raj Bali, told that HIV is the virus that causes AIDS, the immune system of the affected person becomes weak. Any HIV-infected person has to take the prescribed medicine for life. Which is available free of cost from the ART center in the government hospital.
This virus was first identified in America. On the occasion of World AIDS Day, Sandhu Hospital, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar said that the purpose of celebrating this day is to create awareness among the general public of all ages about AIDS, a disease spread due to HIV infection.
This day is celebrated to create information about this disease for a healthy and good life. The main purpose of this day is to educate people about safety and prevention methods. Dr. J.S. Sandhu and other staff were present on this occasion.
