Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, November 12: As per the orders of Mr. Atul Kasana, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, Miss Surbhi Prashar, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar today organized a legal awareness program on various provisions of POCSO Act at Government High School, Village-Nagal Salempur, District – SAS Nagar.
During the program, the students were made aware about various provisions of POCSO Act which exists to protect children from crimes.
Besides this, Surbhi Prashar, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar also organized a legal awareness programme on NALSA’s Drug Awareness Wellness and Navigation Scheme, 2025 at Universal College of Law, Lalru. During the programme, students/faculty were made aware about various provisions of NALSA’s Drug Awareness Wellness and Navigation Scheme, 2025.
She emphasized on the use of taglines/hashtags for social media, which include “#SayNotoDrugs: Yestolife”, “#DrugFreeIndia”, “#NashaMukatBharat”, “#YuddhNashKeVirudh”, “#NopetoDope”. This campaign is being run by District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar under the aegis of Punjab State Legal Services Authority.
