Patiala:- A literary meeting was organized by the Sanjha Sahitak Manch, Patiala, at Amarjit Library, Bhadson Road, Patiala. Under the special initiative led by Sukhwinder Chahal, Navdeep Singh Mundi, Amarjit Kharoud, Satnam Chauhan, and Pal Kharoud, this session focused on a thoughtful discussion of Gagan Meet's prose book "Khala vich Khillre Khat" (Letters Scattered in the Void) and Rajiv Seth's poetry collection "Mere Hisse da Suraj" (The Sun in My Share).
The event was attended by notable figures including Dr. Amarjit Konke, Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kakra, Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Bhikhi, Amarjit Kasak, Dr. Harman, Balbir Singh Dildar, Nachhatar Singh Chahal, Amritpal Singh Shaida, Bachan Singh Gurm, Joga Singh Dhanoula, Balwinder Bhatti, Eng. Jugraj Singh, Satnam Kaur Chauhan, Kamal Sekhon, Sukhwinder Kaur, Kulwinder Chawla, Jaswinder Kaur, Harcharan Singh, Randhir, Darshan Singh, Fatehjit Singh, Tarsem Singh, Bhag Singh, Atma Singh, Pushpinder Singh, Hardeep Sabharwal, and others.
In the first phase, moderated by Sukhwinder Chahal, Rajiv Seth introduced his work and recited selected poems from his collection. Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kakra initiated the discussion by analyzing the social concerns and imageries present in Seth's poetry, weighing its strengths and weaknesses. Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Bhikhi explored how the poems beautifully present themes of love alongside social realities. Amarjit Kasak highlighted the spiritual aspects of the collection, while Hardeep Sabharwal, Satnam Kaur Chauhan, Balwinder Singh Bhatti, and Navdeep Singh Mundi also shared their perspectives.
The second phase, moderated by Navdeep Singh Mundi, focused on Gagan Meet's prose book "Khala vich Khillre Khat." Hardeep Sabharwal discussed the themes of single parenting and patriarchy; Dr. Harman focused on child psychology; Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kakra spoke on the bond between father and daughter; and Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Bhikhi analyzed the tragedy of modern relationships portrayed in the book. Darshan Singh and Bachan Singh Gurm also contributed to the critical discussion.
At the conclusion of the literary session, Dr. Amarjit Konke summarized the impact of both books, stating that they are essential reads for literature enthusiasts. Eng. Jugraj Singh thanked the attendees on behalf of the Sanjha Sahitak Manch. The Manch honored Gagan Meet and Rajiv Seth for their literary contributions. Additionally, the daughters present at the event held a special ceremony to honor Bapu Nachhatar Singh Chahal. The first issue of the literary magazine "Uda" was also officially released during the event. Joga Singh Dhanoula provided special support in organizing the program.
