Shri Chintpurni/Una, February 28:- After inaugurating the ?12.42 crore (approximately $1.2 billion) lift drinking water scheme for the Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple area on Saturday, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri performed the ritualistic prayers at the temple and prayed for the well-being and prosperity of the people of the state. MLA Sudarshan Bablu was also present with him on this occasion.
The Deputy Chief Minister inspected various sites related to the proposed expansion and beautification works in the temple complex and conducted a detailed review with officials. He stated that the government is committed to a grand and well-organized look for the temple, and that ?130 crore (approximately $1.3 billion) has been allocated for the first phase of development works.
He directed the Deputy Commissioner to ensure daily monitoring of all temple development works. Projects related to pilgrim convenience, security, traffic management, cleanliness, and infrastructure should be completed on a timely basis on a priority basis.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that upon reaching Bharwai, devotees should feel as if they are entering a unique and sacred shrine. To this end, attractive entrances, appropriate beautification, theme-based lighting, artwork reflecting religious beliefs, and selfie points will be constructed.
He clarified that no laxity will be tolerated in development work. The government's priority is to provide better and well-organized facilities to devotees by effectively implementing all plans with departmental coordination.
