Haroli (Una) April 9:- Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed rest house of Jal Shakti Department in Haroli. Built at a cost of approximately Rs 12.50 crore, this modern complex is equipped with 15 well-furnished rooms, which will provide better accommodation facilities for various events and external visitors and will also prove useful for the general public in the long run.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that for a long time there was a need for a central place in Haroli where guests coming from outside could stay. This rest house will fulfill that need. He said that photographs depicting the development works of Haroli and district Una will be displayed on the walls of the campus, so that the people visiting here will get an overall glimpse of the development of the area.
He said that during the upcoming Haroli Utsav and other major events, proper accommodation arrangements will be available for the guests and artists coming from outside.
Let us tell you, the procession will also be inaugurated from this premises on 11th April.

*Water purification scheme worth Rs 2000 crore will be implemented in the state*
The Deputy Chief Minister said that a comprehensive scheme worth about Rs 2000 crore will be implemented to improve the quality of drinking water in the state and modernize the water purification system. Under this scheme, modern technology based water purification systems will be installed, which will provide clean and safe drinking water to the people of the state and reduce water-borne diseases. The scheme will be implemented in a phased manner.
He informed that projects related to drinking water and irrigation worth about Rs 1000 crore are in progress in district Una, which includes drinking water works worth Rs 550-600 crore and irrigation works worth Rs 350-400 crore. Under ADB, 18 projects worth Rs 135 crore have been approved in the district, out of which 7 have been completed, while the target has been set to complete the remaining this year.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that keeping in mind the future needs, work is being done on a new drinking water scheme worth about Rs 175 crore from Bhabhore Sahib to Poliani Beet. In Haroli area, work is being done to ensure water availability for the next 50 years through the Beet Irrigation Scheme (Phase-2) worth Rs 75 crore.
Apart from this, work will be done for remodeling of more than 300 tube wells in Haroli area under a scheme of Rs 100 crore. Modern irrigation system is being strengthened in Tahliwal, Haroli and Khad areas.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that special attention is being paid to recharging of ponds under water conservation in the entire Una district including Haroli. He also directed the officials to explore the possibilities of construction of small dams in every assembly constituency of the district.

On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister praised the officers and employees of Jal Shakti Department and said that the construction of this grand rest house in record time is a proof of the efficiency of the department. He specially honored Chief Engineer Rohit Dubey, Superintending Engineer Naresh Dhiman, Executive Engineer Puneet Sharma, Assistant Engineer Ashish Chaudhary, Architect Rajdeep Aggarwal, Junior Engineer Surjeet Katwal and Iqbal who implemented the work for their excellent work.
On this occasion, Congress Party Vice President and former MLA Satpal Raizada, in his address, expressed his gratitude for the gift of water schemes in Una district by the Deputy Chief Minister. He said that the development vision of the Deputy Chief Minister is a guide for the entire region including Haroli.
