Rahon:- Harshdeep Uan, Chief Volunteer of Jyot Social Awareness and Welfare Society, informed the Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and the Karya Sadhak Officer, Municipal Council, Rahon in writing that the Gurpurab of the era-changing leader, Sahib-e-Kamal Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji is being celebrated with devotion by all the Sangat on 01 February 2026 at Gurdwara Shri Guru Ravidass Sachkhand Sahib Mohalla Sarafan, Rahon.
Prabhat pheris dedicated to the Gurpurab will begin about one and a half weeks in advance and a grand Nagar Kirtan will be held on 31 January 2026. The next day, on 01 February 2026, the Bhog of Akhand Path will be held and after the Shabad Kirtan, Guru Ka Langar will be served. Harshdeep said that at present, due to the development works in Rahon city, the Water Supply and Sewerage Board is digging roads and laying pipelines.
He expressed concern that if these development works are not completed on time, then apart from digging, piles of material and debris will remain on the roads. Due to which, while the city residents will have to face difficulties, the Gurpurab works will also be affected and the sentiments of the Sangat will be hurt.
He strongly demanded that in view of the Gurpurab of Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji, all the development works going on in Rahon city should be completed as soon as possible within the appropriate time.
