Ratia, January 21:- Karamjit Singh, President of the Indian Farmers Union Ekta Ugrahan city unit, informed the press that farmers from the Ratia area reached the Ratia police station regarding the registered FIR concerning stolen electricity wires and other materials. The farmers presented their complaints and evidence to the officials, but unfortunately, the attitude of the concerned officials was not serious. The farmers' problems were neither listened to carefully nor was the matter given the necessary priority.
The farmers say that such irresponsible behavior is unacceptable under any circumstances. Incidents of theft are causing financial losses to the farmers, and if the administration does not take concrete action in time, such incidents may increase further.
Therefore, the farmers have unanimously decided that a panchayat (village council meeting) will be convened soon on this issue, where the matter will be raised forcefully. Through the panchayat, the farmers' voices will be presented unitedly before the administration, and pressure will be put on them to take necessary and appropriate steps.
The farmers have made it clear that their struggle will continue until a fair investigation and strict action are taken in this matter.
