Ratia, June 16:- A delegation comprising office-bearers of the Shiromani Sant Bhagat Dhanna Jatt Samaj Sudhar Samiti and prominent members of the community, led by Ratia MLA Jarnail Singh, met Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at the CM residence in Chandigarh. They presented a demand to complete the construction of the Dharamshala and temple dedicated to Shiromani Sant Bhagat Dhanna Jatt Ji.
On this occasion, MLA Jarnail Singh presented the community's demand to the Chief Minister, stating that the construction of a Dharamshala and temple in the name of Sant Bhagat Dhanna Jatt Ji has been a long-standing requirement of the community. He mentioned that this project would not only become a center of religious faith but would also play a significant role in social and cultural activities.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini listened to the demand seriously and adopted a positive stance, stating that necessary action would be taken while respecting the sentiments of the community. He commended MLA Jarnail Singh, calling him a public representative who strongly raises issues of development and public interest in his constituency.
Committee Executive President Sher Singh Khokhar informed the Chief Minister that the proposed site has been known as the ancestral cremation ground of the community, where devotees have been worshipping in a small temple for years. General Secretary Dr. Naib Singh Mander stated that the construction of the temple dedicated to Shiromani Sant Bhagat Dhanna Ji was started in 1996, which remains incomplete to this day. Therefore, along with the remaining temple construction, building the Dharamshala is also extremely necessary.
The Chief Minister assured the delegation that this demand of the community would be considered positively. His assurance created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and happiness among the representatives present. After the meeting, MLA Jarnail Singh expressed his gratitude to all the office-bearers, members, and Mahapanchayat representatives of the community and assured them that he would continue to make efforts to complete this significant work for the community.
