Hoshiarpur:- DAV College of Education, Hoshiarpur held a grand release ceremony of the inspiring book 'Ek Safar' written by Dr. Jyoti Verma based on the life of former MP, writer and social worker Dr. Avinash Rai Khanna. In this ceremony, Shri Sudesh Kumar (Retd. IPS; Former Director General of Police) attended as the Chief Guest and Dr. Jasvira Minhas (Former Vice Principal, Government College, Hoshiarpur) was the Guest of Honour. Shri Sudesh Kumar, Dr. Jasvira Minhas, Secretary Shri RM Bhalla, Vice-President Shri YP Joshi and College Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla released the book 'Ek Safar' with their kar kalams and presented the book to the audience. Guests Mr. Surinder Diwan, A.S. Kang, Advocate S.P. Rana, Mr. Raman Ghai, college staff and students specially attended this literary event to honor the author.
Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla formally welcomed the distinguished guests and informed the students about the seven books of Dr. Avinash Rai Khanna and the work done for the welfare of the society.
Giving information about the book written about himself, Dr. Avinash Rai Khanna said that this book is a reflection of his family, social and political values ??and meaningful experiences. He also encouraged the students to inculcate the habit of reading and actively participate in creative and social activities.
Retired IPS Mr. Sudesh Kumar said that the experiences, thoughts and inspiring noble life of Dr. Avinash Rai Khanna will motivate the readers towards a purposeful and selfless life.
