Karnal, November 2: Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan said that the Unity March symbolizes the country's diversity, values, and social harmony. It was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, with the aim of spreading Sardar Patel's ideals and thoughts to the masses.
Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan was addressing the crowd before flagging off the Unity March organized by Mera Yuva Bharat and the district administration at NDRI Chowk here on Sunday. He paid floral tribute to the portrait of former Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Patel. A large number of youth, party workers, NCC volunteers, school students, and activists from various social organizations participated in the approximately 7-kilometer-long Unity March. Artists from the Information, Public Relations, and Language Departments performed a cultural program at the event.
Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan said that such yatras are being organized to spread the ideals and thoughts of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to the masses. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel worked to create a united India by uniting the princely states. He said that today India is progressing globally. This is the hallmark of unity and nationalism. He emphasized the need for public participation in building a developed India. He also called on citizens to pledge to give a befitting reply to forces attempting to divide the country and contribute to India's development.
Quoting Sardar Patel's words, he said that a country's true strength is revealed by the character of its people. He emphasized that every citizen should think about the welfare of society, not just personal gain.
On this occasion, he administered a pledge to the participants for a drug-free and self-reliant India. He also appealed to them to inculcate good values ??in their children. It is essential for all citizens to have a sense of patriotism. To fulfill the pledge of building a developed nation, every individual must perform their duties honestly.
