Garhshankar- Rotary Eye Bank and Corneal Transplant Society meeting was held to select the Garhshankar unit. During this, the matter of corneal transplant of three blind children came up in the meeting. One child is nine months old, the second is three years old and the third is eleven years old. 
Immediately after taking up this matter, the Chairman of the Body Donors Committee Dr. Tarsem Singh contacted the State Committee of the Rotary Eye Bank and Corneal Transplant Society. On which the President of the Rotary Eye Bank and Corneal Transplant Society J.B. Bahl said that the corneal transplant of the three children will be done after Diwali.
Chairman of the Body Donors Committee Dr. Tarsem Singh said that till now 4133 blind people have undergone corneal transplant from Rotary Eye Bank and Corneal Transplant Society. In the last two months alone, 18 people have undergone corneal transplant. Out of which eight corneas were taken from the bodies of deceased.
