Ambala, December 11:- Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij today targeted the Congress and said, "Congress has become a vote thief because these are the same voter lists on the basis of which Congress has been fighting and winning elections and forming governments."
He said that if the Congress is honest on this issue, then all those MLAs of the party should resign from where they have fought and won elections, because these Congress MLAs are also accused of theft. He won with stolen votes."
He sarcastically said, "If these voter lists are wrong, then Congressmen should show some dignity and seek the resignation of all their MLAs who contested and won the elections."
In response to a question asked by media persons regarding the court notice to Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Vij said that several cases of vote theft by Rahul Gandhi's Congress party are pending in the court, and former Prime Minister Late Indira Gandhi was also named in a vote theft case.
At that time, the then Justice JML Sinha had cancelled his election, which is on record. Sonia Gandhi, on the other hand, became a citizen later and started voting earlier.
Similarly, in the elections for the Congress President in 1946, the state committees had to vote. Out of 17 state committees, 12 elected Sardar Patel while the rest voted for Acharya Kripalani and others. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru No votes were received and the person with zero votes was made the Prime Minister. Vij questioned the Congress party and said that if the Congress talks about vote theft, then wherever Congress governments have won, they should resign.
In response to another question regarding the suspension of Congress leader Navjot Kaur Sidhu after her statement about the Rs 500 crore deal for the post of Chief Minister, Vij said, "Madam Navjot Kaur Sidhu made the tradition within the Congress public and revealed deep and hidden details about how the Chief Minister is made in the Congress.
That is why she (Navjot Kaur Sidhu) was expelled from the party. He said, 'Navjot Kaur Sidhu ji, why did you tell the truth?' Vij said that maybe that is why she is going to meet Rahul Gandhi and tell him, but this formula is the party's own."
