Karnal, July 23: Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Chairperson of the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), stated that the Commission is committed to protecting the rights of backward classes and resolving their issues. She urged citizens to present their grievances and problems before the Commission and assured them that every possible effort would be made to resolve these matters impartially and within the constitutional framework.
Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti was addressing a felicitation ceremony held at the Krishna Mandir in Sector 14 on Thursday. Emphasizing Indian culture, social harmony, and the power of organization, she remarked that societal progress is achievable only through a sense of duty, education, hard work, and unity. She stated that every individual should carve out an identity through their actions and responsibilities and work towards the upliftment of society with a positive mindset.
Citing the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, she noted that the scripture inspires self-confidence, a sense of duty, and the courage to face difficult situations.
Referring to the current global scenario, she appealed to all citizens to remain vigilant regarding the country's unity, stability, and development, and to guard against misinformation and attempts to divide society. She asserted that national interest is paramount and that it is the responsibility of every citizen to contribute to strengthening social harmony and national unity. She emphasized that progress should be achieved not by pushing others back, but through education, hard work, patience, knowledge, and positive efforts.
**Modi Government Granted Constitutional Status to the Backward Classes Commission: MLA Ramkumar Kashyap**
On this occasion, Indri MLA and Government Chief Whip Ramkumar Kashyap welcomed the chief guest and lauded the Commission's historic decisions. He noted that under previous governments, the Backward Classes Commission lacked adequate powers, preventing the effective resolution of the public's problems. In 2018, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government strengthened the interests of backward classes by granting constitutional status to the Commission. She stated that various public welfare schemes are being implemented by the Haryana and Central governments for the welfare of the backward classes and the working class.
